Penticton Tennis Club Penticton Tennis Club

Our club needs you

Council votes July 14 on a plan that moves our tennis courts.

City staff are asking Council to give the Esplanade Renewal Plan final approval on Tuesday, July 14. The plan relocates the courts, still to one of four unconfirmed sites, with no study of what it will actually cost. Please ask the Mayor and councillors to defer the decision until a feasibility study compares the cost of renewing our courts where they are (the club estimates about $700,000) against the City's estimate of $1.25–2 million to move them.

Write to the Mayor & Councillors

Send each of them a short, polite message asking Council to defer approval until a feasibility study compares the real cost of staying versus moving. Write your own below, or use the helper to draft one, then open each councillor's contact form and paste it in. A short message in your own words carries the most weight.

✍️ Click here to use the helper tool to write your letter (with recommended points)

Tell us in a sentence or two why the club matters to you and we'll draft a letter that includes the club's key facts and cost estimates. You can edit everything. Your words are sent to an AI writing assistant (Anthropic's Claude) only to draft the letter; they aren't stored by us.

Points to emphasise (optional — untick any you don't want)

Your draft appears in the “Your message” box below — edit it, then copy it into each councillor's form.

Tip: use each councillor's button below to copy this message (with their name filled in) and open their form. “[Name]” is replaced automatically.

Then send it to each of them

Open each contact form, paste your message (and subject), and send. It only takes a couple of minutes.

Thank you for taking action. 💛

Please share this page with friends and neighbours, and come to the meeting if you can.
